    1.Landing technique is important in netball and other jumping sports. Good landing technique: hips and knees bent, feet straight ahead, knees in line with feet, trunk stable 2. Hip and knee control is important as poor control has been shown to relate to increased risk of several knee pathologies and injuries. This is a great functional exercise: Stand about one foot length away from the wall, lift one leg off the floor and slowly sit back until your hips touch the wall behind you and then stand up again. Ensure your knee lines up with your second toe.

    BREATHING: This exercises is known as ‘diaphragmatic breathing’ and it is used to strengthen the diaphragm - our most important breathing muscle! This breathing technique allows us to utilize our whole lung capacity and also calms our nervous system. Once the diaphragm is stronger, other muscles around the shoulders and neck can relax during breathing.
    Place one hand on your stomach and one hand on your chest. On the inhale you are aiming to have the ‘belly hand’ rise before the ‘chest hand’. Everything relaxes on the exhale. Ideally done for 5-10mins daily!
